Why We Built Logo Viking

Every day, millions of creators struggle with the same frustrating problem: they just need to quickly resize an image for Instagram, or convert a JPEG to PNG for their blog — and they're forced to choose between expensive software, ad-infested free tools, or platforms that slap watermarks on everything.

We've been there. As creators ourselves — bloggers, YouTubers, and web developers — we spent years bouncing between tools that were either too complex, too slow, or hid features behind paywalls.

Logo Viking was built to solve that. Our goal is simple: give every creator access to professional image tools, completely free, with no watermarks, no sign-up required, and no limits on the basics that everyone needs.

The Technology Behind Logo Viking

Logo Viking is powered by Sharp — the industry-leading Node.js image processing library used by companies like Microsoft, Google, and Netflix. Sharp uses the libvips image processing library under the hood, which is 4–5x faster than ImageMagick and uses significantly less memory.

Our backend is built on Node.js with Express.js, ensuring fast, non-blocking file processing even during high traffic. Files are stored temporarily in isolated server directories and automatically purged after 5 minutes — meaning no image ever persists on our servers longer than necessary.

The frontend is built with vanilla HTML, CSS and JavaScript — no heavy frameworks, ensuring the fastest possible page load times and compatibility with every device and browser.
